While working at America Online, I had to deal with these predators and the results of their "hobby."
This one night I had received a call about a missing child who had met someone online and went to hang out with them at the mall, and now they had found a body.
I had to go into the childs account and start collecting the evidence of the chats, emails and any pictures that might have been sent from this predator.
I made a mistake...
I forgot to go into the system invisible, and suddenly I had a screen full of messages from this childs friend asking "where have you been?", "I was worried, you weren't in class" and many more messages filled my screen.
To this day, that night is burned into my memory, all I could do was log out and go back in invisible finish my work and go home and climb into bed and hide.
This is one of the many reasons why Internet Predator Tracker was created.
